This Administrative Sales Assistant position is an entry to mid-level role based out of our Costa Mesa, CA branch. Starting pay is between $17-$23/hr. On the job training is provided, though experience in sales or other administrative positions is considered beneficial. This is a full time position working Monday-Friday from 8 AM-5 PM, though accommodations may be considered for students. This position operates in a professional office environment and we are seeking a dependable and trustworthy individual to fill the role. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Responsibilities:

Office-

  • Answering phones and providing customer service in a professional and friendly manner
  • Scheduling service appointments via phone and email
  • Using ERP system and Microsoft Outlook to complete tasks and paperwork
  • Performing clerical duties with attention to detail
  • Maintaining cleanliness of office and shared spaces
  • Assist in warehouse to ship orders or receive product, when needed

Sales-

  • Prospect, qualify, and generate sales leads through defined channels
  • Plan and carry out marketing activities and strategies per company objectives
  • Maintain understanding of represented products and updates
  • Respond to customer requests for information and educate potential customers on represented products
  • Work closely with sales team to provide support for new projects
  • Report sales activity and progress on projects during weekly sales meeting
  • Individuals successful in this role may have the opportunity to move into a full-time sales position

General-

  • Adhere to safety standards per company policy, particularly in warehouse and on jobsites
  • Maintain consistent company image
  • Proficiency in computer skills (including Microsoft Outlook and Excel)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Capacity to learn technical information and general mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to operate a forklift (training provided)
  • Occasional travel to other company office locations, to visit customers, and to project jobsites

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s License and Clean Driving Record
  • Fluent in English Communication (reading and writing)
  • Pass Drug and Background Check
  • Bachelor’s Degree (for current students, degree may be in progress)
