Job Summary:

Maintenance Manager supervises the repair and maintenance of buildings and mechanical-electronic equipment installed. Ensures timely installation and upkeep of the company’s property and systems to ensure operational effectiveness. Maintenance Manager delegates to subordinates common tasks. Direct involvement in administrative activities like maintenance budgeting and contract negotiations.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Train and supervise employees of the maintenance department as well as coaching and conducting performance appraisals.
  • Cross train personnel ensure coverage during vacations.
  • Negotiate contracts with outside vendors for execution of maintenance work
  • Ensure operational efficiency of electrical equipment and mechanical systems through timely inspection and repair
  • Ensure that company premises and facilities are kept in clean and hygienic condition
  • Implement workplace safety policies and standards
  • Maintain building and production equipment.
  • Participate and fulfill appropriate QMS/EMS/LMS activities.
  • Schedule and maintain preventative/predictive maintenance practices.
  • Order and maintain spare parts & maintenance items inventory.
  • Participate in engineering and plant projects as required or as directed by manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications/Skills/Experience Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of production maintenance related experience required.
  • High school diploma required; Associate degree and/or technical training preferred.
  • Prior management experience required.


Knowledge/Skills Required:

  • Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic skills.
  • PLC/HMI knowledge.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Crisis management.
  • Strong management skills.
  • APQP and other appropriate skills as defined in the EMS/QMS/LMS manuals.
  • Team player.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Weld metals using MIG, TIG, or Arc welders.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Other duties as required.
