Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be tasked with the following duties:

  1. Conduct thorough cleaning of designated areas, which includes but is not limited to:
  • Dusting and sanitizing furniture, equipment, mirrors, and fixtures.
  • Washing windows, walls, ceilings, vents, and light fixtures.
  • Scrubbing, sweeping, and refinishing floors.
  • Vacuuming and shampooing carpets.
  • Restocking restroom supplies.
  • Replacing light bulbs.
  • Reporting maintenance needs.
Assist with outdoor cleaning tasks, including parking lots and windows, as necessary. Handle cleaning chemicals and disinfectants safely. Manage waste removal by:
  • Collecting and transporting soiled linens.
  • Emptying trash receptacles.
  • Changing sharps containers.
  • Transporting solid and hazardous waste to designated areas.
  • Recycling materials.
  • Emptying cigarette receptacles in designated smoking areas.
Maintain cleanliness and order of equipment, reporting any mechanical issues to maintenance staff. Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to procedures, regulations, and infection control guidelines. Participate in all required training and educational programs to enhance technical knowledge. Demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines consistently.

Qualifications:

Preferred candidates will possess:

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least one year of relevant experience.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in operating cleaning equipment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster cooperative relationships with colleagues.

Work Environment:

This position involves:

  • Repetitive tasks following established procedures.
  • A fast-paced and sometimes stressful atmosphere.
  • Working in areas that may be contaminated or undergoing construction.
  • Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures and unpleasant odors.
  • Interaction with individuals with varying physical and mental health conditions.
