Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be tasked with the following duties:

  1. Conduct thorough cleaning of designated areas, including but not limited to:
  • Dusting and sanitizing furniture, equipment, mirrors, and fixtures.
  • Washing windows, walls, ceilings, vents, and light fixtures.
  • Sweeping, scrubbing, and refinishing floors.
  • Vacuuming and shampooing carpets.
  • Restocking restroom supplies.
  • Replacing light bulbs.
  • Reporting maintenance needs.
Engage in outdoor cleaning tasks as necessary, which may include parking lots, windows, and roofs, utilizing ladders for various cleaning activities. Handle cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, floor strippers, and finishes with care. Manage waste removal by:
  • Collecting and transporting soiled linens.
  • Emptying trash receptacles.
  • Changing sharps containers.
  • Transporting solid and hazardous waste to designated areas.
  • Recycling materials.
  • Emptying cigarette receptacles in designated smoking areas.
Maintain cleanliness and order of equipment, reporting any mechanical issues to maintenance staff. Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to procedures, rules, regulations, and infection control guidelines while meeting departmental quality standards. Participate in all required training and in-service education, including safety updates to enhance technical knowledge. Demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines and time schedules consistently.

Qualifications:

Preferred: High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred: One year of relevant experience.
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to complete work in a timely manner.
Proficient in operating necessary equipment.
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.

Work Environment:

This position involves repetitive tasks following established procedures. The work can be stressful and fast-paced, often conducted in contaminated, isolation, construction, and renovation areas. Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures and unpleasant odors may occur, along with interaction with individuals experiencing various physical and mental health conditions.
