Maintenance Supervisor - 1st and 2nd Shift Available

90 Day Contract with a Possible Extension

$40/day per diem for meals

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations within the manufacturing facility, ensuring that all equipment and systems are functioning efficiently and effectively. This role involves managing a team of maintenance technicians, scheduling and overseeing preventive maintenance activities, and coordinating with other departments to minimize downtime and support production goals. The Maintenance Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign and prioritize maintenance tasks, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely completion of work orders.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training opportunities for team members.
  • Oversee daily maintenance activities, including troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance of production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
  • Ensure that all maintenance work is completed in accordance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Monitor and maintain an inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies required for maintenance activities.
  • Ensure that all equipment and systems are properly maintained, calibrated, and functioning efficiently.
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures, ensuring that all maintenance activities are conducted safely and in compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for improving maintenance processes and equipment performance.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the reliability and efficiency of maintenance operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, maintenance logs, and equipment performance data.
  • Ensure that all documentation related to equipment and maintenance activities is up-to-date and accessible.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably within the commercial vehicle or automotive manufacturing industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems used in manufacturing.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to develop and motivate employees.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the commercial vehicle manufacturing industry.
  • Certification in maintenance management or a related field.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
