The ideal candidate will have extensive clinical experience, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to mentorship and professional development. This role requires 18-20 hours per week.


Responsibilities:


Supervision and Mentorship:

  • Provide clinical supervision to onsite MSW, MHC and MFT interns pursuing their licensure.
  • Guide interns in developing their clinical skills, therapeutic techniques, and professional identity.
  • Conduct regular individual and group supervision sessions to support interns in processing their clinical experiences and cases. 


Educational Support:

  • Implement the SIFI model of field instruction to ensure interns receive high-quality training and supervision.
  • Facilitate seminars and workshops designed to enhance interns' knowledge and competency in clinical practice.
  • Collaborate with educational institutions to maintain accreditation and compliance with field placement requirements.


Case Consultation:

  • Review and provide feedback on interns' treatment plans, assessments, and interventions.
  • Assist interns in understanding and applying evidence-based practices in their clinical work.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical standards and legal regulations in all clinical interventions.


Direct Clinical Care

  • This position will include a small caseload as required.
  • This candidate will conduct youth and parent support groups/workshops. 


Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate records of supervision sessions, evaluations, and intern progress.
  • Participate in program development and evaluation activities to enhance the internship experience.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors and staff members to ensure comprehensive support for interns.
  • Represent the organization within the community and with key stakeholders.


Professional Development:

  • Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in clinical social work.
  • Act as a role model for interns by demonstrating a commitment to ethical practice, cultural competence, and continuous learning.


Qualifications:

  • SIFI Certification from an accredited training program,
  • Current NYS clinical licensure (LCSW or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years post-licensure in a mental health setting.
  • Proven experience in clinical supervision and mentorship of interns.
  • Strong knowledge of ethical guidelines, clinical interventions, and evidence-based practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and clientele.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of practice and supervision.
