Our HQ located in Troy (Michigan) is looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team
Responsibilities
- Prospect Hunting: Conduct market scanning to identify potential clients, emerging trends, and competitor activities in the manufacturing sector.
- Client Acquisition: Acquiring new customers by pitching the offerings, making presentations, continuous follow-ups, and negotiating contracts. Work with the solutions team to create customized proposals and presentations.
- Client Engagement: Build strong relationships with key decision-makers in target industries and clients. Understand their technical requirements and challenges.
- Networking: Building and maintaining a strong professional network, attending industry events, conferences, and meetings to establish connections and gather market intelligence.
- Strategy Development: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement effective strategies.
- Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of our manufacturing capabilities and technical offerings.
- Negotiation: Lead customer negotiations, address objections, and close deals with clients, ensuring favorable terms.
- Establish Close Working Relationship Solutions Team: Coordinate and manage efforts of the solutions team to ensure preparation of relevant pitch material, customer list, response to RFQs, etc.
- Market Expansion: Identify new market segments and growth opportunities within the Americas Region
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field.
- Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) is a plus.
- 7-15 years' experience in a similar role.
- Automotive experience required.
- Strong understanding of business development processes and sales strategies.
- Experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends and identify potential business opportunities.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
