BUSINESS SYSTEMS TEAM LEAD: BALTIMORE, MD


Who Staffing is looking for a Business Systems Team Lead for a full-time, direct hire opportunity with our client in Baltimore, MD.


Job Summary:

In partnership with Business Systems Administrator(s) and systems specific Administrator(s), the Business Systems Team Leader, will coordinate and facilitate third party business systems utilized across the organization, ensuring the systems meets the ongoing needs of the organization, data is accessible, usable, and actionable, and all storage of data meets HIPAA and PHI requirements. This position will project coordinate new systems development/onboarding, significant system changes, and other business systems initiatives. The Business Systems Team Leader will ensure the Business Systems team works collaboratively to be customer service focused, work collaboratively across our client and with external software vendors, and have a strong understanding of business/program operations.


Job Responsibilities:

  • In partnership with senior leadership, coordinate the Business Systems team to implement, onboard, and ensure the ongoing functionality of all business systems across our client and its subsidiaries.
  • Project coordinate business system related projects; Work cooperatively with the Director of IT and project leads to ensure optimization of new, ongoing, and legacy business systems.
  • Act as a back up to for Business Systems Administrator(s) and system specific Administrator(s) to ensure business continuity.
  • Facilitate the development of data and system workflows to include data-mapping, diagrams, and flowcharts; Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency, acquire input/feedback from key stakeholders, and provide recommendations with executive leadership.
  • Collaboratively develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), user guides, information sheets, and other user-friendly communication tools for all business systems; Work with Communications and People & Culture as needed.
  • Produce ongoing and ad hoc reports for all major business systems; Develop requested reports for executive leadership as needed, sometimes on short notice.
  • Ensure timely responsiveness to IT Support tickets related to business systems utilization or end user data access support.
  • Train and support employees with formal and informal training on all business systems; Partner with People & Culture in the development of technical training related to business systems.
  • Manage and coach assigned team members.


Other Functions:

  • Support with IT best practices regarding data and business systems requirements related to HIPAA and PHI.
  • Provide support for special projects IT related.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Education & Experience Requirements:

  • HS diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in business or technology strongly preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience implementing business systems. Experience in data storage best practices, data privacy, and healthcare related issues strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and databases required
  • Excellent oral and written communications; strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage positive communication in difficult situations
  • Experience supporting technology user experience and providing individual and group training sessions to users with varied levels of technical acuity
  • Strong project management and documentation skills required
  • Ability to remain flexible and calm under pressure; adaptive to change as priorities shift, being a model and resource for team members; adhere to deadlines; foster a sense of urgency to do what it takes to get the job done
  • Experience working across cultural, geographic, and programmatic lines to align work, solve problems and achieve goals
  • Ability to exercise initiative, think creatively in the improvement of processes to drive results
