Position Description

OX is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Lead to join our technology team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the QA function, ensuring the exceptional quality of both existing client applications and new software development projects. This position will require comfort in a fast-paced environment, with an emphasis on fostering a collaborative and results-oriented approach to delivering best-in-class software. The QA Lead position reports to the Director of Product.


Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the QA process, including test planning, execution, defect management, and reporting
  • Collaborate closely with Business Analysts and Project Managers to understand product vision and translate it into robust test plans
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive test strategy encompassing functional, non-functional, and performance testing
  • Champion test automation initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency
  • Work collaboratively with developers to identify and resolve defects effectively
  • Manage external resources (e.g., contract testers) as needed
  • Support the growth of both the QA practice and team
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all QA-related matters, providing expert guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate QA processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing best practices


Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on QA Engineering and project leadership experience.
  • Experience in team mentorship and employee coaching
  • Adept with test automation tools and frameworks (Postman, Selenium, etc.)
  • Communication and organization skills that inspire teamwork
  • Independent and resourceful, able to identify and tackle challenges proactively
  • Deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality products
  • Project management skills, ideally with Agile and continuous integration experience
  • Experience testing mobile, back-end services, and consumer analytics
  • A knack for crafting quality metrics and engaging stakeholders on quality goals


Experience in the following is a plus:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Agency/Consulting experience for client-facing agility
  • Proven track record in B2B e-commerce projects
  • Expertise in performance testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner, JMeter)
  • Skilled in API testing for seamless integrations
