Vertex IT Systems is seeking a QA Automation Engineer with karate farmwork experience to join our team. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the quality of our software products. You will work closely with the development and QA teams to understand the product requirements and identify areas where automated testing can improve efficiency and coverage. A strong knowledge of the Karate framework is essential, as you will be responsible for building and maintaining automated test scripts using this tool.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using the Karate framework.
  • Collaborate with the development and QA teams to understand product requirements and create test plans.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs, defects, and issues.
  • Develop and maintain automated test cases, test scripts, and test data.
  • Ensure that automated testing is integrated into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure product stability.
  • Review and analyze test results, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
  • Contribute to the improvement of test automation processes and tools.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in QA automation.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong experience with the Karate framework for API testing.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with performance and load testing tools.
  • Knowledge of RESTful web services and API testing.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based environments and services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is a plus.
