Your Role in Our Vision

As a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing comprehensive and scalable testing frameworks that enhance product quality, streamline processes, and improve efficiency in our development and testing workflows. Collaborating closely with Product and Support teams, you will advocate for our users by ensuring the stability and functionality of the SonderMind platform, striving for exceptional quality in every release.

Key Success Indicators

  • Quickly assimilates into the team, gaining familiarity with existing tools, processes, and the culture surrounding our software development and testing life cycles. Engages in testing while utilizing existing scripts and contributes to their enhancement.
  • Initiates the construction and implementation of forward-looking test automation frameworks.
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of our automated testing strategy, system architecture, business functionalities, and technical dependencies, ensuring the test automation framework is stable, reusable, and effectively increases code coverage.

Your Responsibilities

What You Bring

Essential Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in software test development with strong skills in Javascript, Typescript, or similar languages.
  • Proficient in Unix scripting or equivalent command line tools.
  • Experience in designing and developing full stack test automation (e.g., Protractor, Cypress).
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment pipelines and tools (e.g., CircleCI, Jenkins).
  • Skilled in testing and automating RESTful API service calls using tools like Postman, SOAPUI, or similar.
  • Ability to lead the creation and maintenance of advanced automated script suites for the full stack.
  • Experience with source control, particularly Git.
  • Competence in communicating quality metrics and reporting test execution results, including the use of visibility dashboards.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC processes, especially agile scrum methodology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with test case management systems, including integration development.
  • Knowledge in Load & Performance Test Engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability in designing automation and creating modular test scripts for reuse.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as Angular, AWS Deployment, ElasticSearch, Unit testing RSpec, Jasmine, Ruby on Rails, Postgres, and Redis.

Our Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000, with eligibility for equity grants. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications and experience.
