You will work closely with the development and QA teams to understand the product requirements and identify areas where automated testing can improve efficiency and coverage. A strong knowledge of the Karate framework is essential, as you will be responsible for building and maintaining automated test scripts using this tool.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using the Karate framework.
- Collaborate with the development and QA teams to understand product requirements and create test plans.
- Identify, document, and track bugs, defects, and issues.
- Develop and maintain automated test cases, test scripts, and test data.
- Ensure that automated testing is integrated into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Perform regression testing to ensure product stability.
- Review and analyze test results, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
- Contribute to the improvement of test automation processes and tools.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in QA automation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer or similar role.
- Strong experience with the Karate framework for API testing.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with performance and load testing tools.
- Knowledge of RESTful web services and API testing.
- Familiarity with cloud-based environments and services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is a plus.
