Legal Billing Manager

Trustpoint is excited to partner with an Am Law 100 law firm in their search of a Billing Manger on a direct hire basis. This hybrid role will collaborate with the billing operations and directly supervise a team. This role is open to candidates that are a commutable distance to Orlando, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, or Chicago, IL. Successful candidates will have 5+ years of billing experience in a law firm. Experience in a large law firm strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and implement client billing guidelines, working with the Billing Specialists regarding compliance
- Assign work to and provide guidance for a team of Billing Specialists
- Track workflow and workload, quality of work, and adherence to firm policies and procedures for the team
- Conduct training for the team, identifying key areas for improvement
- Serve as point of escalation for resolution for any issues or inquiries from the billing team, attorneys, or clients
- Ensure coverage for absences and develop plans for seamless workflow
Requirements:
- 5+ years of work billing experience in a law firm; large law firm experience (strongly preferred)
- Proficiency in Elite Enterprise, 3E, eBilling Hub, Paperless Proforma or comparable software
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar area; or 5+ years relevant work experience
- Proven experience as a supervisor, manager or leader
- Exceptional organization skills and ability to analytically address problems
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written with all levels of attorney and staff
- Team player with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment to meet deadlines
- All candidates must be able to work at a computer screen for a sustained amount of time
