We seek a Senior Assessments Lead who will thrive in a challenging, rewarding, process-oriented environment. As a team member, you will contribute to the ongoing efforts of the Marine Corps’ concept-based Force Development led by Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC) Combat Development & Integration (CD&I). You will contribute towards designing and developing a modernized Marine Corps to campaign and win in an evolving threat environment. Your efforts will provide deployed MAGTFs with the capability to deny, deter, and, if necessary, defeat adversaries as part of a naval, joint, combined, and interagency campaign.


The Senior Assessments Lead will be a detailed and process-oriented critical thinker. You will provide advanced technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environments. You will conduct high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, and documentation. Your creative problem-solving skills will help provide implementation advice to address the complex challenges faced by the Marine Corps today. You will be expected to design and prepare technical reports, studies, and related documentation; make charts and graphs to record results; and prepare and deliver presentations, training, and briefings.


Location:

This position is located onsite in Quantico, VA


Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the lead analyst with Higher Headquarters (HHQ) & adjacent organizations to integrate Service Force Development Campaign of Learning activities.
  • Integrate Service-learning demands in external Service activities such as wargames, exercises, and experiments.
  • Inform the Service Force Development Process on knowledge learned from activities that affect the future force.
  • Engage and maintain relationships with the analytical community to identify and leverage opportunities to support Service efforts.
  • Provide detailed assessment documents to support senior leadership decision-making.
  • Interact and effectively communicate with senior Marine Corps uniformed officers and senior executives to coordinate and accomplish complex tasks.
  • Assist in supporting CD&I as required in its overall mission.
  • Possess and maintain eligibility for Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (security clearance)
  • Travel overnight up to approximately 10% of the time.
  • Travel throughout the National Capital Region to attend off-site meetings.


Required Qualifications:

Security Clearance:

  • US Citizenship required
  • Clearance: TS/SCI required at start


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, Organizational Leadership/Management, Operations Research, Engineering Management or related fields
  • 5+ years of experience working in USMC planning and operations
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • To fulfill tasking, exercise proficiency with Microsoft productivity software and web-based information/knowledge management tools, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook.


Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Organizational Leadership/Management, Operations Research, technology-related field, or Adult Education
  • Project management experience
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot challenges
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
