The Mission

The Leidos team plays a crucial role in delivering the essential framework of the Service, Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) program, which encompasses cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport.

Leidos is committed to supporting network modernization initiatives to equip Sailors, Marines, and the civilian workforce with the necessary tools to enhance naval capabilities and further empower the Navy Marine Corps team to excel.

Your Main Objective

  • Oversee, guide, and synchronize a cross-functional team's efforts to manage and execute projects from inception to final operational phase.
  • Assess, track, and evaluate all project financials, including costs, operational budgets, staffing needs, subcontractors, resources, and risks.
  • Identify and assemble the right mix of resources to fulfill project requirements, including the selection of subcontractors.
  • Organize, schedule, monitor, and report on project-related activities.
  • Lead project teams in identifying client needs and translating those needs into actionable operational plans.
  • Ensure compliance with legally binding obligations and the client's long-term objectives.
  • Facilitate status review meetings among project team members and clients.
  • Collaborate with senior management on project proposals, bids, contracts, estimates, and timelines.
  • Propose and develop additional program opportunities.
  • Mentor and train clients and vendors in project management methodologies, procedures, and practices.
  • Manage project requirements, scope, and change management challenges.
  • Guide and support members of cross-functional teams to achieve project goals, adhere to established timelines, and resolve technical or operational challenges.
  • Establish appropriate metrics for evaluating key program criteria.
  • Identify and implement suitable automated systems for project management. Recommend contingency measures as necessary.
  • Facilitate the development of communication plans, ensuring that relevant information is shared among key stakeholders.
  • Advise senior management on project management capabilities and associated risks.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and project management practices.
What Sets You Apart

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, or a related field
  • 9 Years of Relevant Experience
  • Must hold an active Secret Clearance
  • Required certification: Project Management Professional (PMP).
