Position Title: Senior Lead Engineer - Temporary

Role Overview: We are currently seeking a Senior Lead Engineer to oversee the management and operation of critical mechanical systems. This position is temporary and will involve significant responsibilities in maintaining essential equipment and ensuring optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of chillers, boilers, and associated mechanical systems.
  • Supervise a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to timekeeping and operational performance.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance activities and manage subcontractor engagements.
  • Conduct regular inspections and monitor equipment performance both on-site and remotely.
  • Respond to system alarms and perform routine checks, documenting findings in operational logs.
  • Utilize testing equipment to assess system functionality and analyze results effectively.
  • Document and report any faults or irregularities in equipment performance.
  • Input data and generate analytical reports using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Familiarize with emergency protocols and respond to service requests promptly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational goals.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Must possess EPA CFC Universal Certification.
  • Journeyman HVAC License or Second Grade Stationary License in relevant jurisdictions is required.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience is necessary.
  • Proficient knowledge of Building Automation Systems, chillers, boilers, and HVAC components is essential.
  • Experience with emergency systems and mission-critical operations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with central plant operations, electrical systems, and building safety protocols is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CMMS software.
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance is required.
