Position Overview

The Corporate Director of Marketing will be responsible for leading and driving the marketing strategy across Pacifica Host Hotels' extensive portfolio. This role demands a seasoned professional with a strong background in hospitality marketing, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing comprehensive marketing initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and implement a cohesive marketing strategy for over 40 hotels, encompassing both branded and independent properties.
  • Serve as the marketing subject matter expert for the company, providing insights and guidance on best practices and emerging trends.
  • Team Management:
  • Lead and mentor a dynamic marketing team, including specialists in social media and digital marketing.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that drives high performance and professional growth.
  • Vendor Partnerships:
  • Own and manage relationships with external vendors, including digital agencies, photographers, videographers, and media partners.
  • Ensure vendor deliverables meet high standards of quality and align with the company's marketing objectives and financial goals.
  • Stay connected with industry best practices to identify new potential partners that can further help maximize revenue for the portfolio. 
  • Budget Management:
  • Develop, manage, and optimize annual marketing budgets for all hotels within the portfolio.
  • Monitor and report on budget performance, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate closely with internal leaders across sales, operations, revenue management, and ownership to align marketing strategies with broader business goals.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives and contribute to the overall growth and success of the organization.
  • Paid Media and Digital Marketing:
  • Lead paid media efforts, including PPC, social media advertising, and other digital marketing campaigns.
  • Drive innovation in digital marketing strategies to enhance online visibility, engagement, and conversion rates.
  • Email Marketing Strategy:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive email marketing strategy to drive engagement, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of email campaigns in Revinate, ensuring they align with overall marketing objectives and brand standards.
  • Brand Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with branded marketing teams from IHG, Marriott, and Hilton.
  • Navigate and utilize branded marketing platforms and tools effectively.
  • Performance Analysis and Optimization:
  • Track, report, and analyze data to ensure websites, email marketing, and paid media are optimized for maximum performance.
  • Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics, providing regular reports and actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Continuously optimize marketing campaigns based on data-driven insights to achieve desired outcomes.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in hospitality marketing, with a strong understanding of both branded and independent hotel marketing.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing marketing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing strategies, paid media, email marketing, and social media management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in marketing analytics tools and platforms including Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, Revinate or similar email service provider.
