We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and implementing POS systems, integrating POS with other systems, developing tech solutions for operational efficiency, implementing security measures, providing technical support and training, monitoring system performance, and continuously improving and upgrading systems.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with various Car Wash Point-of-Sale (POS) vendors to ensure a smooth transition from acquisition to go- live
  • 7+ years of technical experience within architecture development, integration of backend systems and development
  • In-depth knowledge of integration approaches and architectures
  • Deep understanding of the pros and cons with cloud-native solution, microservices-architecture and API orchestration architecture
  • Strong knowledge and familiarity with using or implementing CRM
  • Strong command of SQL and SQL server tools
  • Familiarity with SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services), SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) or similar integration tools
  • Familiarity with APIs (web services) and integration strategies, ASP.NET.
  • Lead project management and customization of POS system and other platforms to meet specific team needs, such as labor tracking, sales reporting, transaction processing, inventory management, and customer loyalty programs.
  • Ensure system design/architecture allows for future enhancements with minimal technical impediments (holistic solution).
  • Ensure seamless integration of POS system with accounting software, inventory management systems, CRM platforms and company/customer facing website.
  • Test integrations to verify data accuracy and smooth workflow between systems, resolving any compatibility issues.
  • Design and implement robust security measures to protect sensitive customer data and financial transactions.
  • Install firewalls, encryption protocols, and access controls to safeguard POS systems and other technology assets.
  • Offer technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve issues with POS systems and other tech solutions (software issues not hardware).
  • Monitor the performance of POS systems and other tech solutions, identifying and addressing any performance issues or system downtime.
  • Implement monitoring tools to track system metrics, analyze trends, and proactively address potential issues before they impact operations.

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on POS systems and other related technologies.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage complex projects from start to finish.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Experience with security protocols and measures to protect sensitive data and financial transactions.
  • Experience with monitoring tools to track system metrics and analyze trends.
  • Ability to stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends related to POS systems and other technologies that could be utilized in the car wash industry.
