About the organization:
- Our client is a mid-sized nonprofit organization with over $200million in operating budgets and with over 50 programs. Their focus is on various ways to help the community through housing, education and providing medical benefits with people with disabilities and addictions. They are made up of smaller nonprofits all with the same mission statement and have been servicing the community for over 50 years.
- This role will be sitting out of their offices in the Bronx that has several train lines such as the B,D and bus lines that are accessible. There is also plenty of street parking

RESPONSIBILITIES of The Senior Accountant:
- Preparing Financial Statements
- Updating the GL
- Managing Grants and contracts
- Communicating heavily with the operations team and program managers on the financials
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED of The Senior Accountant:
- 5+ years of general accounting experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel Skills
- Non-profit and grants experience is a plus but not required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
