We are seeking a dynamic, tech-savvy individual to join our team as a Consulting IT Help Desk Assistant. This role is pivotal in supporting our finance team by managing and troubleshooting our computer systems and networks. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work well under pressure. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role and an Associate's degree in Technology or a related field.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line IT support to employees, addressing issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
- Install, configure, and manage computer equipment and software.
- Troubleshoot network, system, and application issues and coordinate with the IT team for problem resolution.
- Maintain and update IT inventory and ensure all systems are working optimally.
- Develop and maintain IT procedures and systems to improve efficiency.
- Train staff on the use of new technologies as necessary.
- Assist in maintaining system security and data privacy.
- Monitor and respond to IT requests via helpdesk platform.
- Conduct regular system backups and recovery.
- Collaborate with the IT team to plan for future upgrades and technology needs.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT support role, preferably in the finance industry.
- Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and technology applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Knowledge of IT protocols and procedures, including security and data privacy.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Familiarity with help desk software and remote support tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
