Mackenzie Stuart is currently partnered with a market-leading dietary supplement contract manufacturer seeking a Product Developer to play a crucial role in client-facing product development and innovation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the dietary supplement industry, a passion for consumer wellness, and the ability to translate customer expectations into successful product formulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to conceptualize and develop new and existing product formulations.
  • Serve as a technical expert, providing clients with insights on formulations, product concepts, and commercialization processes.
  • Innovate and create new product formulas, categories, delivery systems, and novel ingredients for various markets, including sports nutrition, health, wellness, and beauty.
  • Maintain and expand a strong regulatory knowledge base concerning dietary supplements and nutrition.
  • Drive product innovation by staying ahead of market trends and introducing new ingredients and concepts.
  • Translate client and sales team expectations to the internal project management team, ensuring all project goals are met.
  • Oversee product price quotations, managing risks, and optimizing margins.
  • Adhere to strict formula and quoting control processes to support client and company practices.
  • Manage client expectations by creating and maintaining product specifications in line with company SOPs and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and sustain relationships with raw material and packaging suppliers to stay informed about new industry developments.
  • Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to stay updated on regulatory changes and requirements.
  • Participate in product development innovation meetings, presenting new products, and refining existing formulas.


Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's or advanced degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.


Experience:

  • +5 years of experience in product development, R&D, or regulatory affairs within the dietary supplement market, or relevant industries
  • Comprehensive understanding of product development principles and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of current wellness trends in nutrition and supplements.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical product formulation and project management.
