About the Role:

The Director of Sales Engineering is a key role within our client’s sales organization, leading a team of sales engineers to drive technical sales initiatives, support the sales team, and ensure successful customer engagements. This position requires a blend of ️ technical expertise, leadership, and sales skills to effectively manage the team and contribute to the organization’s revenue goals . This is a hybrid role, requiring in-office presence three days a week—Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.


Responsibilities:

  • Build and lead a team of sales engineers, positioning them as experts in product introduction, evaluation, and customer education.
  • Develop deep expertise in web scraping and web data domains, utilizing our client’s technology to help customers achieve their business objectives.
  • ‍ Act as a player/coach, assisting your team in delivering impactful presentations and demos to customers and prospects.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to meet quota targets and strategic goals, fostering strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • ️ Work closely with prospects and the sales team to develop and deliver winning solutions.
  • Maintain strong partnerships with product, engineering, sales, marketing, and solutions teams.
  • Deeply understand customer needs and challenges to tailor solutions that meet their specific requirements.


Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of industry experience in a pre-sales or engineering role, with at least 2 years in direct frontline management.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, and Node.js.
  • Strong knowledge of Business Intelligence and Data Analytics.
  • Expertise in web technologies, including HTML and CSS.
  • 3+ years of experience building and leading a team of sales engineers or technical professionals.
  • Proven track record in technical sales or sales engineering roles, with consistent success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Exceptional presentation skills, capable of engaging both technical and executive audiences through spontaneous whiteboard discussions and structured demos.
  • A university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience is preferred.
