Albireo Energy is expanding its leadership team and is seeking a Director of Sales for the Northeast area to lead and drive profitable and aggressive sales growth within the energy procurement sector. This role demands a strategic thinker with extensive experience in direct sales and/or the plan and spec market, ideally within a large organization. The Director of Sales will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing the sales team, and ensuring the achievement of revenue and margin targets.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the sales team to develop and maintain relationships with end users, energy suppliers, consulting engineers, large owner accounts, and ESCOs.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Assist consulting engineers with the design and specifications of energy procurement solutions.
  • Oversee the estimation of costs for energy procurement projects, including material, labor, and subcontractor expenses.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Department to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and review technical proposals and presentations to consulting engineers that effectively communicate our value proposition.
  • Set and conduct high-level meetings with customers, identify opportunities, and promote Albireo Energy’s energy procurement capabilities.
  • Negotiate final pricing and scope of work with contractors, suppliers, and end users.
  • Provide leadership and support for ongoing sales efforts and new installations.
  • Attend and lead sales meetings and training seminars.
  • Foster a team-selling environment, collaborating with other sales executives to achieve collective goals.
  • Achieve annual revenue and gross margin targets.
  • Track sales activities and forecast sales opportunities using CRM tools.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of success in plan & spec or owner direct sales within the energy procurement field.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in energy procurement or building automation.
  • Strong ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, and controls drawings.
  • Deep understanding of building HVAC systems and their integration with energy procurement strategies.
  • Expertise in using CRM tools for pipeline and activity management.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience with data centers and EPMS (Energy and Power Management Systems) is a plus.

Salary Range: $125k-$150k/yr. DOE.
