Our client a top tier financial services firm is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join their team in Prime Middle Office. As a Prime Broker Middle Office Associate you will be responsible for supporting the prime brokerage business by managing trade processing, reconciliation, and client service activities. This role ensures that all transactions are processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Trade Processing and Settlement:

- Ensure timely and accurate trade capture, allocation, and settlement of equities, fixed income, and derivatives trades.

- Monitor trade flows and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.

- Coordinate with front office, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth trade execution and settlement.


2. Reconciliation and Reporting:

- Perform daily reconciliation of trades, positions, and cash balances between internal systems and external counterparties.

- Investigate and resolve any breaks or discrepancies identified during reconciliation.

- Generate and distribute various reports, including trade confirmations, settlement status, and client statements.


3. Client Service:

- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients regarding trade-related queries, settlements, and account maintenance.

- Provide exceptional client service by addressing client inquiries promptly and accurately.

- Assist clients with onboarding processes and ensure their operational needs are met.


4. Risk Management and Compliance:

- Monitor and manage operational risks, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls.

- Escalate any potential risk issues or breaches to the relevant teams and assist in the resolution process.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and industry best practices.


5. Process Improvement:

- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.

- Collaborate with technology teams to develop and test system enhancements and new functionalities.

- Participate in projects and initiatives aimed at improving middle office operations and client service.


6. Collaboration and Communication:

- Work closely with front office, back office, IT, compliance, and other internal teams to ensure seamless operations.

- Communicate effectively with clients, counterparties, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and provide updates.


Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.

- 2-4 years of experience in middle office, trade support, or operations within a prime brokerage or investment banking environment.

- Strong understanding of financial products, including equities, fixed income, and derivatives.

- Proficiency in trade processing systems and reconciliation tools (e.g., Bloomberg, Loan IQ, ClearPar).

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).


Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with project management and process improvement methodologies.

- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to prime brokerage operations.

- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, VBA) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is a plus.


This role will be hybrid out of their Jacksonville, FL office. Offering a competitive base salary + bonus + benefits.
