Position Title: Mobile Advisor (also known as Security Guard) (Guard I)
Shift Details: This role is designated for a prime shift Mobile Advisor, covering the hours from 3pm to 12am.
This position reports directly to the Safety, Security, and Transportation Manager and is classified as an hourly, non-exempt role. The Mobile Advisor is responsible for upholding all laws, regulations, and policies as established by the Safety and Security Department. This role emphasizes a commitment to preparing young individuals for their future careers by modeling, mentoring, and monitoring excellence in the eight Career Success Standards, which include workplace relations and ethics, information management, communication skills, multicultural awareness, personal growth and development, career and personal planning, interpersonal skills, and independent living.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold and demonstrate the values and operating principles of Covenant Learning Solutions.
- Enforce all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Conduct alarm and patrol duties in designated areas to safeguard life and property against theft, vandalism, fire, flood, and other emergencies.
- Provide vehicle transportation support as directed by the supervisor, adhering to all government and corporate guidelines.
- Assist visitors, students, and staff as needed.
- Perform security and safety inspections of buildings.
- Address complaints and conduct preliminary investigations.
- Maintain positive relationships with local law enforcement agencies.
- Provide escort services as required.
- Investigate vehicular incidents on-site.
- Issue visitor passes and temporary vehicle permits.
- Prepare written reports for accidents and maintain a security log.
- Enforce the center's pass policy.
- Attend mandatory in-service training sessions.
- Participate in the disciplinary process as outlined by the center, including a zero-tolerance policy for violence and substance abuse.
- Assist with reception duties and maintain control in the staff/student/visitor area.
- Act as a switchboard operator when necessary.
- Adhere to the Covenant Learning Solutions Quality Assurance Plan.
- Effectively communicate and model appropriate CSS and employability skills, including personal responsibility and computer proficiency.
- Ensure accountability for staff, students, and property while adhering to safety practices.
- Foster a respectful and harassment-free environment to ensure a safe workplace for all.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Preferred: At least one year of experience in a security role, law enforcement, military, or related security duties.
- A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is required.
Additional Requirements: Knowledge of crowd control techniques and law enforcement procedures is preferred. Must maintain CPR/FA Certification. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. The position requires the ability to operate office equipment and drive a vehicle. Additionally, the candidate must effectively collaborate with team members and maintain positive working relationships with all facility staff and departments.
