Environmental Remediation Specialist

Weaver Consultants Group (Weaver) is seeking a self-motivated senior remediation professional (Chemical, Environmental Engineer, Geologist) to support our nationwide remediation practice. This role is part of our Environmental Practice Group (EPG), specifically supporting the Remediation Services Group (RSG), and focuses on developing, supporting, and implementing remediation projects, including large Brownfield redevelopments and contaminated industrial manufacturing projects across the US.
They will manage a diverse portfolio of sites across the US with a focus on in-situ remediation techniques. This position requires an individual capable of applying intensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices to broad areas of assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and coordinate field work to support investigation and remediation monitoring programs.
- Perform data interpretation and preparation of site workplans, spreadsheets, figures and technical reports.
- Conduct both internal and client-facing meetings related to project work.
- Develop and maintain technology leadership in environmental remediation.
- Manage and support large and complex multi-disciplinary projects.
- Negotiate and agree on project scope, job tasks, contract terms, budget, and schedule with Clients.
- Manage work to meet contract schedules, appropriate codes and regulations, regulatory compliance and/or enforcement and industry standard-of-care criteria.
- Provide input for and develop written technical reports for delivery to clients, perform quality control review, and maintain deliverable quality to meet internal and client requirements.
- Deliver outstanding service to clients, to the point that clients sole source new work opportunities.
- Provide strategic direction to team.
- Communicate progress, strategic, and financial updates to management on the remedial sites.
Qualifications
- BS or MS in Engineering, Chemistry, Geology, or related field with at least 8-10 plus years of progressive professional experience in discipline
- Hold professional registration or certification (PE/RG/PG)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility to work outside normal business hours as required
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training in accordance with 29CFR 1910.120
The position is a salaried position with significant bonus opportunity and the work hours are flexible targeting 45 hours per week, working approximately 20-30% in the field. The position will require out-of-town travel at an average rate of one week a month. The successful candidate must demonstrate efficiency and competency working well in an independent / telecommuting environment. Typical salary range for this position is $90,00 to $140,000 and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.
