Provide legal advice, perform legal research, prepare legal documentation, and provide policy recommendations regarding the  Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act and other environmental statutes.
Participate in civil administrative or judicial litigation activities.
Perform a full range of affirmative enforcement and litigation activities arising under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act and other environmental statutes.
Work closely with the EPA Office of Site Remediation Enforcement, U.S. Department of Justice, and state partners to represent EPA in administrative and judicial enforcement proceedings.
Work on interdisciplinary teams that include environmental scientists, engineers, and specialists.
Draft Agency determinations, proposed regulations, and Federal Register Notices.
Perform negotiation, informal dispute resolution, and assist with regional representation work in enforcement and other matters in both administrative and judicial forums.
Perform specialized teamwork, including on Freedom of Information Act requests, records management, and other government information law matters.
Work closely alongside others with different viewpoints and social identities from your own (including race, religion, national origin, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, and genetic information).

When entering a Federal job at a grade level lower than the highest promotion potential level, you may be promoted to more complex duties and work more independently, as your career progresses.  NOTE:  Career ladder promotions are not automatic, and all eligibility and qualifications requirements must be met in order to progress to the next grade level.
