Key Responsibilities

As a Hazardous Waste Equipment Specialist, you will:

  • Prioritize health and safety by adhering to our operational guidelines.
  • Engage in both emergency and non-emergency response tasks involving hazardous materials.
  • Perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions.
  • Work in challenging environments, including confined spaces and elevated areas.
  • Operate a range of equipment, from light machinery to heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned machinery.
  • Manage the loading and unloading of equipment from transport vehicles.
  • Maintain an excellent driving record.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in environmental projects.
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening, background check, and physical examination.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
  • A willingness to obtain OSHA (40-hour) certification.
  • Flexibility to work on an on-call basis as required.
  • The physical capability to perform demanding tasks and work in confined spaces.
  • The ability to wear a respirator and regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong skills in interpreting and following both written and verbal instructions.

Experience in environmental services, hazardous waste management, and relevant certifications (such as OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER) are advantageous.
