LHH Recruitment Solutions seeks a highly motivated and experienced Patent Prosecution Paralegal/Legal Administrative Assistant to support our law firm client’s growing IP practice group in Indianapolis (Mile Square area)


Schedule: This is a full-time, onsite, W2 temporary contractor position. You must be available to start ASAP with very limited time off scheduled for the next 120 days.


Pay Rate: $25-$38/hour DOE


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit U.S. patent applications with the USPTO
  • Prepare and submit PCT applications, manage international prosecution phases
  • Handle correspondence from international patent offices, meet deadlines
  • Coordinate national phase filings with foreign associates
  • Review incoming correspondence from local counsel, manage deadlines & fees
  • Transcribe legal documents and letters from dictation and other administrative tasks
  • Revise and maintain the IP docket


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Paralegal degree/certificate required, BS/BA preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in Intellectual Property Law as a Patent Prosecution Paralegal
  • Professional knowledge of patent prosecution procedures working in a busy US law firm
  • Proficient in MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook), PDF, document management, legal practice management, time entry, expense reporting, transcription, & comparison software
  • Excellent organizational, communication & interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented, self-starter with a positive team attitude
  • Ability to prioritize and thrive in a demanding environment



Pay Details: $25.00 to $38.00 per hour
