Our client, a retail chain of home improvement and agriculture stores, is seeking a Marketing Assistant for a 6+ month contract position in Brentwood, TN. This role is hybrid, Onsite 3 days a week.


Summary

The Marketing Assistant will be responsible for writing creative briefs, handling follow-ups, answering buyer's questions, attending meetings and taking notes/reporting back on notes, coordinating photo shoots, etc. This person will be an interactive member of the team, and this is not a behind-the-desk job. They should be well-spoken and organized.


Day to Day

  • Help coordinate tasks daily with internal departments & 3rd parties to ensure flawless execution of National Marketing Events, PR Initiatives, and Programs not related to specific product categories.
  • Coordinate and implement “marketing request forms,” coupon set-up, insertion orders, invoices, kitting lists, etc. for a variety of marketing projects on an ongoing basis.
  • Compile and manage project timelines and task lists.
  • Proofread marketing and presentation materials for messaging and accuracy.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.


Must Haves

  • Minimum 2 years of Marketing experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably 1-3 years' work experience in project management of marketing programs, preferably in a retail marketing environment.
  • Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrate effective project management, organization, communication and multi-tasking skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, timelines and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple internal and external partners.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, interact, and build relationships to support store network.
  • Demonstrated skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Pay Rate- $20.69- $25/hour
