Executive Assistant to Head of School, Prestigious Private School, Suffolk County, Massachusetts

An independent private school, grades 6-12 is looking for an Executive Assistant to support and be the “right hand” to the Head of the School. This is an in-person position, 5 days at the school with some remote flexibility in the Summer.

ABOUT THE JOB:


● Responsible for the planning, scheduling and the smooth operation of the Head of School office. This includes maintaining Head of Schools’ complex calendar and domestic and international travel arrangements with detailed itineraries.

● Coordinate annual administrative events (full faculty/professional staff meetings, Organize special events like commencement in coordination with others

● Create and update presentations for meetings. Craft emails, memos and any other correspondence on the of Head of School’s behalf

● Act as liaison to the Board of Directors and Board of Trustees; plan the meetings, keeping board minutes and meeting reminders

● Coordinate with constituents about the use of facilities for meetings, trainings, or other needs.

● Some personal work

Hours, 8AM-4PM, Mon-Fri with flexibility over the summer to work remotely once you have a clear understanding of the role and working for the head of school

Base Salary, Comprehensive Health Benefits, 6 weeks vacation

About You:

A minimum of 6 years of experience as an Executive Assistant supporting a busy high- level executive.

Bachelor’s Degree

Experience working with board of directors and planning their meetings

Interest in being the “face” of the school for the Head of the School, interacting with faculty as well as planning, overseeing and coordinating events

Very detail oriented with the ability to change gears quickly

Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills; very tech savvy

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Polished, professional demeanor and a true team player

An interest in education a PLUS
