The Job

You will be a key member of our Tax and Bookkeeping teams at our rapidly growing company. As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our clients' payroll runs smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for setting up payroll through Gusto, processing payroll, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and monitoring their payroll. Your work will significantly impact our clients' businesses by ensuring their teams are paid accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up payroll for clients using Gusto
  • Obtain state withholding and unemployment insurance tax ID numbers
  • Process payroll for a variety of clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations across all 50 states
  • Manage and update payroll records, including employee information, deductions, and benefits
  • Work alongside our Tax and Bookkeeping teams to make sure each client’s payroll is on track


Qualifications

  • 2 or 4 year degree, in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 1-5 years of experience in payroll
  • Proficient in QuickBooks, Gusto and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
