Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the bi-weekly internal processing of payroll and related reporting. This is an in-office position that requires a strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process payroll using third-party software for approximately 400 employees.
  • Handle garnishments and court-ordered child support deductions.
  • Maintain personnel records.
  • Prepare and understand certified payroll.
  • Complete employment/income verifications and unemployment paperwork.
  • Prepare reports to relevant departments about payroll.
  • Scan and deposit daily cash receipts.
  • Perform other projects and responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
  • 3 or more years of diverse experience with Payroll.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated efficiency with payroll and accounting software packages.
  • Demonstrated basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to adapt to rapid changes/rapid work environment, manage competing demands.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain and facilitate positive employee relationships.
  • Recognition and respect for the confidential nature of the work.
  • Excellent communication and skills (oral and written).
  • Must be willing to participate in and pass F&R's pre-employment screening including a background investigation, drug screening and driving record.
