Job Description

This position is for revenue development through sales activity primarily targeting the U.S. travel trade – SEEKING AN EXPERIENCED CANDIDATE THAT MUST RESIDE IN NORTHEASTERN USA.


Duties include both implementing business strategies to maximize revenues from existing accounts and "new business development", applying consultative selling skills. Accounts will include a mix of current travel industry customers and strategically important prospects. Responsibilities include in-person and telephone sales calls, contract negotiations, participation in weekly conference calls & periodic team and client meetings, detailed reporting on sales activities in salesforce, joint sales calls with clients, partnering with marketing team on promotional activities, attending industry events, compiling market intelligence, providing input and recommendations on sales policies and collaborating with other team members toward the fulfillment of goals. The position is supported by inside sales & marketing staff.


Desired Skills and Experience

· Airline/Travel Industry sales experience

· Established contacts within the travel industry and travel trade, particularly in the corporate, meetings, incentives, consortium, travel agency, tour operator and vacation segments

· Experience with the corporate and leisure contract process

· Aptitude for cultivating customer relationships leading to increased sales

· Passion for sales, skilled communicator with excellent follow-up

· Experience in account strategy design, call planning & sales process execution

· Team player, self-starter, professional communication & interpersonal skills

· Driven to overcome challenges, close sales and produce exemplary results

· Analytical acumen: ability to translate data into an executable action plan

· Attention to detail & planning

· Ability & willingness to multi-task projects

· High ethical standards and concern for customer care

· Enjoy a challenging, variable, fast-paced environment

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and SFDC

· Able to travel and make in-person sales calls as well as digital and telephone sales calls
