International Sales Area Manager

Our client, a global developer and distributor of fragrances, is seeking an International Sales Manager, Fragrance for their team. The corporate office is based in Miami, FL; however, if not local to the office, they are open to considering candidates based anywhere on the East Coast. This role will partner with Distributors in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America and is required to have experience in fragrance and current relationships with international fragrance distributors. Candidates must be able to travel as needed.
Job Duties Include:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve the sell-out and sell-in targets and grow market share globally
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the distributors and provide them with excellent customer service
- Merchandise assortment for success constantly re-assessing potential
- Partner with internal teams to ensure high level of support with the distributors
- Monitor sales performance metrics, track progress against targets, and implement actions as needed to drive performance
- Prepare analysis and business presentations for business & budget reviews, market visits, and trade shows
- Report on market conditions, store visits, competition activities and distribution changes
- Identify and report new business opportunities and maintain relationships with potential partners to expand presence globally
Job Qualifications Include:
- 5+ years of experience in a sales/account management role
- College degree or equivalent years of related work experience
- Strong Excel and Power Point skills
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
- Ability to take initiative and ownership of projects
- Agility and ability to react quickly with strong sense of urgency
- Fluency in English is required
- Proficiency in another language is a plus
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events
