Position Overview:

The LPRC research project coordinator plays a critical role in coordinating a wide range of research activities, including observational, survey, experimental, focus group, geographic information systems (GIS) and mapping, tech deployment, and interviews. This position requires a blend of strong project management skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to advance our mission of enhancing retail safety and security.


Key Responsibilities:

·      Help coordinate planning, implementation, and tracking of multiple online, field, and lab research projects from inception to completion.

·      Facilitate communication between project teams, including researchers, analysts, and external partners, to ensure effective collaboration and information exchange.

·      Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including timelines, milestones, and deadlines, using project management tools.

·      Assist in the development of research instruments and methodologies, ensuring they meet project objectives and compliance standards.

·      Coordinate logistics for focus groups, interviews, and other research activities, including participant recruitment and venue arrangements.

·      Manage and oversee the collection, analysis, and storage of research data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

·      Provide regular updates and reports to project stakeholders on progress, challenges, and outcomes.

·      Assist in the preparation of research findings, presentations, and publications.

·      Coordinate with GIS specialists to integrate mapping and spatial analysis into research projects.

·      Ensure all research activities comply with ethical standards and organizational policies.


Qualifications:

·      Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, project management, research methods, statistics, criminology, or a related discipline. Master's degree preferred.

·      Proven experience in research project coordination, preferably in a retail loss prevention, security, or related field.

·      Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while taking the initiative as needed.

·      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of team members and stakeholders.

·      Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

·      Familiarity with GIS and mapping tools, and qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.

·      Detail-oriented with a critical eye for accuracy in data collection and analysis.

·      Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.


POSITION/RANK AND STARTING COMPENSATION:

·      Salary is negotiable and commensurate with qualifications and experience, but the salary minimum is $65,750 plus bonus opportunities. Health insurance contributions and vacation after a 90-day probationary period. SEP-IRA contribution and annual bonus eligibility after 1 year. We invite interested candidates to check our website:
