They are also responsible for ensuring the successful deployment of the client’s selected solutions in their selected spaces. Required Experience

Experience in hands on installation, integration and programming of AV solutions such as but not limited to:

·        Video Conferencing Solution Installations & Programming

·        Audio Solution Installations, Programming & Tuning

·        Control and Automation System Installations & Programming

·        Digital Signage Installation & Programming

·        Cameras Installation & Programming

·        Video Matrix Switchers and Scalers Installation & Programming

·        Structured Cabling Best Practices

·        Microsoft Teams / Zoom Setup, Configuration, Testing and end-user training

 

AV Integration Experience

·        Hands on experience in installation, troubleshooting and programming of numerous Audio-Visual Systems including but not limited to Q-SYS, Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Sennheiser, Shure, etc.

·        Experience installing, integrating and programming various low voltage system hardware

·        Explicit knowledge of audio, video, control and communications system integration and programming

·        Solid job history working for established as A/V contractor

·        Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the AV field implementation

·        Experience with reviewing bid documents for the purpose of evaluating and implementing scopes of work descriptions, etc. a plus.

·        Highly technical, with the ability to evaluate situations, utilizing logical and decisive reasoning

·        Experience working in teams and independently to complete commercial installation and service projects

·        The ability to demonstrate computer literacy, i.e. MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Auto Cad

 

Responsibilities

·        Provide on-site guidance & Unified Communications visibility for installation technicians of Microsoft Teams Room (MTR) systems.

·        Provide on-site demonstrations of Microsoft Teams Room (MTR) systems and Zoom room to IT personnel, Executive Admins, & end-users.

·        Provide real-time troubleshooting of hardware & software issues relating to each Microsoft Teams Room (MTR) vendor & the Microsoft Teams Room (MTR) product interface.

·        Lead Installers in general act as Unified Communications on-site representative and interface between the installation tech(s) and the customer.

·        Your main job is to install, configure, train, and share the excitement of our communications and collaboration products, solutions, services, and meeting space technologies with our customers, employees, and partners.

·        You will be the person who shows the customers how to effectively use what we sell.

·        Be extremely well versed in our product and service offerings, as well as the services and products that our stuff connects to.

·        Be a sales engineer to our sales team as time allows.

·        Understand the needs and special requirements of large corporate customers and maintain a high level of diplomacy and professionalism.

·        Respond positively to the needs of the customer; manage expectations and deal with any requests or issues in a professional and timely manner.

·        Drive project effectiveness, identifying and implementing changes to maximize efficiency and to reduce/control costs; effectively communicate agreed changes to team members.

·        Obtain and read all relevant contract documents including, but not limited to: bid drawings and specifications, contract, project workbook, subcontractor scopes of work, and construction schedule.

·        Analyze and understand statements of work and project requirements to identify the timeframes to deliver, assign project resources, organize and hold meetings to ensure that all stakeholders are adequately informed on project requirements.

·        Ensure that you and our technicians, contractors, and other workers maintain a high level of professionalism commensurate with our standards.

·        Responsible for effective communication with customer including change orders and delivery, on-site visits when required or needed.

·        Review project status daily to keep it on schedule, identify problem areas at an early stage, and develop and implement solutions.

·        Strive to deliver a consistent, high-quality solution and customer experience that customers and partners compliment us on.

·        Prepare project reports and attend review meetings of all projects and resources.

·        Raise any issues to management for escalation. To advert major delivery shortfalls, escalate above your own supervisor based on importance and urgency.

·        Use experience, manufacturer support, specialist knowledge and training to investigate technical issues and provide solutions for ongoing faults and problems; provide hands on support as required.

·        Identify and develop opportunities for continuous improvement of the products/services provided.

·        CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D

Requirements

·        This role involves extensive travel however most projects range from 2 to 3 days and larger projects up to 1-2 weeks

·        All travel arrangements will be expected to be booked out of a major international airport unless prior approval from Director or Manager

·        Expected travel timeframes for AV Integration Engineers are as follows.

  • Weekly travel may begin and booked for a Sunday afternoon/evening departure (earlier or later reservations may be required based on flight availability and schedule)
  • Return trips will be booked for a Friday afternoon/evening return and on some cases early Saturday morning departure
  • Weekend availability may also be required to meet client deadlines and or completion of scheduled projects

·        Be flexible to work extended hours and weekend times when required

·        Regularly inspect installation work performed by staff and/or subcontractors

·        Ensure the testing, certification, and proper performance of installed systems

·        Coordinate and/or provide training to client

·        Other duties as assigned
