Position Overview
Are you passionate about ensuring top-notch quality and driving continuous improvement? We’re seeking a dynamic Quality Supervisor to lead our Quality Department and support our manufacturing functions. This role will put you at the forefront of our quality management system, where your expertise will directly impact our product excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead with Excellence: Provide strong leadership and guidance to our on-site quality team, ensuring adherence to our Quality Management System (QMS) and supporting site operations and customer interactions with the Quality Manager’s assistance.
- Drive Quality Improvement: Analyze shift reports to identify discrepancies and communicate them effectively. Utilize statistical tools to enhance our prevention-based quality system and drive continuous improvement.
- Manage Nonconformities: Oversee the nonconforming material reporting process, ensuring materials are properly managed and corrective actions are communicated, implemented, and monitored for effectiveness.
- Coordinate Corrective Actions: Manage internal, external, and supplier corrective actions. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve daily activities and provide accurate responses to customer challenges.
- Ensure Compliance: Regularly review job processes to meet customer requirements and identify areas for corrective action. Maintain the calibration program, update databases, and ensure equipment meets standards.
- Enhance Training: Ensure comprehensive training for new hires and ongoing development for your team. Foster growth and improvement in all quality-related responsibilities.
- Promote Safety: Adhere to plant safety rules, identify safety hazards, and help monitor work quality to maintain a safe working environment.
- Performance Management: Conduct performance reviews, offer constructive feedback, and manage disciplinary actions when necessary. Ensure that all team members adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Support QMS: Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of our quality management system and cGMP requirements through internal audits and innovative thinking.
- Facilitate New Product Introductions: Assist with annual performance testing and qualification work to support new product launches.
- Foster Positive Relations: Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and strive to minimize conflicts. Report any issues to your direct supervisor promptly.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in a related field required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years in a quality role within an ISO-certified manufacturing environment, preferably with experience in injection molding.
- Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, proficiency in Statistical Process Control, and hands-on experience in quality systems.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy items and perform tasks requiring physical strength, including lifting up to 40 pounds frequently.
