Summary:

Assist new and current members with loan applications submitted remotely (e.g., via western.org) to result in funded loans, cross-sold Credit Union products and services, and high-quality service levels with timely, accurate responses.

The anticipated hourly range for this role is $25-30hr

Responsibilities:

  • Assists members with loan applications submitted remotely via western.org or other remote channels, cross-selling Credit Union products in an effort to maintain or modify the lending relationship with the member.
  • Performs all functions related to Consumer Lending, including but not limited to, accepting and inputting loan applications, loan processing, insurance coverage options, loan funding, communication with members, and DMV document preparation.
  • Performs all functions related to Mortgage Lending, including but not limited to, accepting and inputting Real Estate applications, insurance coverage options, communication with members, and answering member inquires.
  • Demonstrates the ability to answer member questions regarding the loans (e.g., rate, term, down payment, documents needed for approval, etc.) and provide necessary information to members.
  • Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of features and benefits of all products and services and keeps informed of changes in Credit Union policies and procedures to ensure the best service possible.
  • Profiles the financial needs of new and existing members through open-ended interviewing techniques to identify the best loan type(s)/option(s) for the members and additional cross-sell opportunities.
  • Maintains productivity levels as established by department standards.
  • Promptly sends completed documents for imaging.
  • Assists other lending departments and branches when required, understands Loan Review loan documentation practices, and demonstrates the ability to review such documents.
  • Assists and works independently on various projects as assigned by Management.
  • Maintains confidentiality of information as well as controls and protects sensitive information and material.
  • Attends all mandatory annual training requirements as specifically applicable to the position.
  • Ensures full compliance with UNIFY Financial Credit Union Service Standards, policies, procedures and the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred, with a minimum of three years related financial institution experience. Consumer and Real Estate loan processing and funding experience highly preferred.
  • Ability to effectively cross-sell financial products and services and possess sales skills to deepen member relationships.
  • Requires highly effective verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel applications.
