POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our client’s finance team. This role is integral to their monthly financial closing process, ensuring accurate and timely consolidated financial statements for their global, multicurrency operations. The successful candidate will handle accounting, reporting, and analysis of consolidated accounts and contribute to the annual consolidated financial audit.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute and document month-end closing entries for various organizational entities, adhering to scheduled timelines.
  • Reconcile accounts and post elimination and adjustment entries for consolidated financials.
  • Review and reconcile multi-currency fixed asset roll-forward schedules at a consolidated level.
  • Assess trial balances for the parent company and multiple subsidiaries.
  • Utilize the financial reporting system to verify data integrity, generate reports, and distribute consolidated reports, including trial balances and account analyses, to management.
  • Reconcile intercompany balances and collaborate with foreign subsidiaries and other departments to resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare required schedules and documentation for interim and annual audits.
  • Support various projects throughout the year and perform ad hoc reporting as needed.


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented team player capable of multitasking and collaborating with other departments to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with global consolidation, eliminations, and foreign currency transactions is a plus.
  • Familiarity with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is a plus.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or private industry, preferably within a manufacturing environment with global operations.
  • Experience with financial statement preparation and the month-end close process.
