Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

  • Assist in the month-end closing process with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Reconcile, analyze, and monitor assigned general ledger accounts, addressing any discrepancies.
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc reports, analyzing financial and non-financial data, including revenue and expense assessments, forecasts, and variance explanations.
  • Support daily accounting operations, including reporting and analysis, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, treasury management, fixed assets, and general ledger accounting.
  • Assist with business functions related to licenses, registrations, tax filings, and assessments.
  • Support Senior Accounting Leadership in the annual budgeting process, evaluating business unit performance against budget, and creating accurate financial forecasts.
  • Provide assistance during the annual financial audit and tax preparation conducted by our independent CPA firm.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing automation and improving processes.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • 1+ years of experience in an accounting role.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and develop, actively seeking solutions and asking questions.
