We are looking for a Senior Designer for a top fashion company in NYC. The role will be 2 days onsite and the other 3 days remote - full time hours each week. This role will be responsible for all aspects of the design process, from initial concept stage to presentation, to development and execution of the final product. This role will oversee the soft accessories category with a focus on scarves and cold weather. If interested, please send your resume and work samples. Looking to bring someone onboard ASAP.


  • In-Office – 2 days per week, as needed. Hourly pay rate is based on experience.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop seasonal product with a focus on style, aesthetic, functionality, fabric, details, color, etc.
  • Perform daily follow-up using email and PLM
  • Work with Print Design team on prints and patterns if applicable
  • Work with Knits/Sweaters and materials team to develop materials
  • Participate in milestone meetings
  • Perform preliminary design research domestically
  • Comment on samples, final product, etc. with supervisor approval
  • Ability to manage samples in an organized and efficient way for easy access in a pinch
  • Perform other duties as required
  • In person/in-office collaboration is required


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Fashion or Art (or equivalent experience and education)
  • At least 5+ years of related soft accessories design experience
  • Previous experience working for a luxury brand a plus
  • PLM experience required
  • Ability to act as liaison between many departments: excellent communication and analytic skills
  • Must be detail oriented, very organized, computer literate, able to handle multiple tasks at once, and perform successfully in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Must be knowledgeable of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Must be proficient in creating technical flats in both Illustrator and hand sketching
  • Comfortable working in-office
