Position Overview: Senior Merchandiser – Soft Home

As the Senior Merchandiser for our Soft Home division, you will lead and drive our assortment strategies across categories such as bedding, bath, and window treatments. You’ll be the expert on customer needs and market trends, ensuring that our product offerings are both consumer-focused and aligned with each brand’s vision. Your role will involve selecting products that meet financial goals, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget, and maintaining the integrity of each brand across all channels, including wholesale, retail and e-commerce.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Assortment Strategies: Create seasonal and annual assortment strategies for bedding, bath, window treatments, and other home categories that meet or exceed sales goals, margin targets, and align with the overall company strategy.
  • Merchandise Presentation: Merchandise and present seasonal product assortments that achieve sales and margin targets, ensuring consistency across retail stores and online platforms.
  • Leadership and Communication: Present seasonal product assortments to senior management and global teams. Act as the main point of contact for cross-functional teams, including design, production, and buying, ensuring all partners are aligned on timelines and delivery schedules.
  • Pricing and Performance Analysis: Develop pricing strategies that align with our brand positioning. Monitor business performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and provide actionable insights to management and cross-functional partners.
  • Customer and Market Insight: Maintain a deep understanding of our customer base through direct feedback and frequent visits to stores. Stay informed on industry trends and the competitive landscape to ensure our product offerings remain relevant and competitive.
  • Product Review and Quality Control: Participate in product reviews to ensure that final products meet design aesthetics and brand standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6+ years of merchandising or design experience in the home category, with a strong understanding of product development, design, and production processes.
  • 2+ years of leadership or management experience preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a growth mindset.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other relevant tools.
  • Deep knowledge of the home goods market, with a focus on bedding, bath, and window treatments.

Salary: $120-$150k yearly
