Job Description

The Corporate Director of Mental Health Services provides clinical expertise and programmatic leadership to achieve the strategic aims of Valle del Sol. The Corporate Director’s management and deliverables reflect Valle del Sol’s strategic direction, mission, and core values. They foster a success-oriented environment of accountability; set realistic performance expectations for the agency’s programs; and provide coaching, mentorship, and clinical oversight to ensure effective services and evidence-based practices are available to Valle del Sol members/customers. They evaluate business and clinical performance; analyze and utilizes information to develop and support management decisions; and facilitate with a Project Management approach in the development of services while working effectively within the organization’s decision making and organizational structures. The Corporate Director is a key leader in evaluating and guiding the clinical service delivery of all substance use disorder and mental health services including areas that overlap and integrate with medical service delivery.

*** NHSC Loan Repayment Program - awards up to $50,000 in exchange for a two-year commitment to provide primary medical, dental, or mental/behavioral health care at approved sites in high-need, underserved areas. HRSA has removed the two-tier scoring, allowing all applicants to receive up to $50,000 in awards regardless of HPSA score. NHSC LRP recipients are eligible to extend their service and potentially pay off all of their educational debt with continuation contracts.

Job qualifications


  • 18 years of age or older; and
  • Master's degree in a counseling related field (professional counseling, marriage and family therapy, social work, counseling psychology, substance abuse counseling) or a Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology is required.
  • Independent clinical licensure in the state of Arizona (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, PsyD)
  • Five years related experience in business development, management, clinical care or leadership roles.
  • Excellent presentations, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Business writing experience
  • Must have or able to obtain valid Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Must possess reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and proof of auto insurance.
  • Ability to provide culturally sensitive services

  • Must maintain current BLS certification
  • Covid 19 Vaccination or Qualified Exemption (Religious or Medical).
  • TB Screening Record and PPD/QuantiFERON/Chest x-ray as applicable upon hire
  • Vaccinations/Titer’s Test/Declination Form: Flu, Hep B, MMR, Tdap, Varicella
