Job Summary:

At CoreCivic, we are committed to providing high-quality mental health services to offenders. As a Mental Health Therapist - Clinical Services Coordinator, you will play a critical role in planning and providing clinical mental health services of a non-medical nature in our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Mental Health Screenings and Assessments: Conduct thorough mental health screenings and assessments of inmates based on a review of available records and clinical interviews.
  2. Treatment Planning and Implementation: Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans based on an evaluation of needs and level of functioning.
  3. Documentation and Confidentiality: Document treatment and evaluation activities in the health care record for each person seen, maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive materials and information at all times.
  4. Crisis Interventions and Counseling: Provide appropriate mental health assessments, counseling, and crisis interventions to address the needs of inmates.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related clinical area from an accredited college or university.
  • Five years of clinical experience, including two years in a comparable job position.
  • Appropriate certification or licensing in the state where practice occurs (e.g., LPC, LCSW, or LMFT).
  • A valid driver's license is preferred, unless required by contract or applicable statute.
  • Minimum age requirement: 18 years of age.
