We are seeking a skilled Construction Manager responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction on telecommunications and wireless projects. This role involves vendor selection, on-site management, and coordination with subcontractors, OEM installers, and customer representatives. The Construction Manager will act as the expert on construction issues related to the construction/modification of towers, collocation, DAS, and small cell projects, including in-building iDAS, public right-of-way oDAS & Small Cells, along with associated inside & outside plant construction methods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct advice and influence decisions of District and/or Program and Project Managers in all aspects of construction work.
  • Actively participate in the vendor selection process and make recommendations.
  • Attend deployment and other customer meetings as a subject matter expert.
  • Develop customer relationships to potentially influence customers to award service work to the company.
  • Conduct regular site visits during construction phases, including bid walks, pre-con walks, in-progress site visits, punch walks, and construction closeout.
  • Provide direction to general contractors during ground work.
  • Ensure competitive rates for quality work, negotiate costs within the project scope, and hold vendors accountable for maintaining the budget.
  • Solve on-site issues and make recommendations based on priority and need.
  • Ensure all work adheres to company construction standards, processes, and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and complete project files and ensure timely distribution of closeout documents in accordance with corporate and customer standards.
  • Maintain job accuracy in the project tracking system.
  • Act as a safety observer and Quality Assurance representative, ensuring compliance with the safety program and workmanship practices.
Education/Certifications
  • High School degree required
  • A valid driver's license required
Experience/Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum of three (3) years of telecommunications/wireless construction experience
  • Knowledge of Outside Plant Construction techniques (aerial & underground) for SCS
  • Familiarity with test equipment and techniques for RF Sweep test, OTDR, Power Meter, and Passive Intermodulation (PIM) testing for SCS
  • Working knowledge of NESC, NEC, and OSHA standards
Other Skills/Abilities:
  • Knowledge of budget development and execution
  • Knowledge of the construction management process
  • Knowledge of site acquisition procedures, including regulatory and permitting processes
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Ability to diagnose work flow problems, identify critical paths, and institute remedies
  • Strong customer service orientation with a problem-solving approach
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office and project management software knowledge
Additional Details

The base range for this contract position is $40 - $50/per hour, depending on experience.

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
