Summary

  • Milwaukee County is seeking an experienced highenergy business analyst for initiatives within the Department of Administrative Services Information Management Services Division project portfolio.
  • Responsibilities will be to assist with optimizing use of ERP modules (Cash Management including Bank Reconciliation) and other selected initiatives to improve end user productivity in Finance and Supply Chain.
  • PO is through 12/31/2024.
  • Project duration expected to be through end of 12/31/2024.
  • Reviews analyzes and evaluates business processes as it relates to the system and user needs.
  • Formulates business processes to support overall business strategies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with users and departmental management.
  • Experience with identifying solutions to business problems using process reengineering and technology.
  • Familiar with current and emerging technologies and standards.
  • Effective at following plans and completing goals on time and on budget.
  • At ease at working independently and able to perform a variety of complicated tasks.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Required Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience with business analysis or related area.
  • Four Years Knowledge of Finance practices and Systems with focus on any or all of Cash Management Accounts Receivable & Billing Accounts Payable Global Ledger and Fixed Assets.
  • Understanding of business processes and process mapping.
  • Excellent communication skills including experience presenting to Executive Leadership.
  • Ability to develop document and communicate effective business requirements with traceability to test cases.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and take on additional responsibilities as required by the position.

Desired Qualifications

  • 2 Years of Previous government experience
  • Six Sigma Lean or Equivalent Process Reengineering Certification
  • Prior experience with Jira software
  • Prior experience with Lawson or Infor CloudSuite Financials
  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology with a strong Accounting emphasis and solid experience with business applications.
