Job Description

Alternative Investment Sales (Hedge Funds, PE Funds, VC Funds, Real Estate Funds and JV and Direct Private Companies). As a salesperson at Butler Capital, you will be responsible for building relationships with Alternative Investment Allocators.

 

We are seeking an individual with an authentic passion for sales who understands Alternative Investments and is looking to build long-term relationships with investors such that they will be able to raise significant capital for each of Butler’s products. Butler has an office in NYC which you can use or you can work remotely from wherever your location is.

Butler is a placement agent that has been raising capital since 2000. Butler has raised app. 9 Billion from Endowments, Foundations, Pensions, Family Offices, RIA’s and Other. Butler has a team of 18 people including affiliates.

 

Compensation: This is a commission-based Sales Job.

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA, or another significant academic achievement
  • Strong communication skills and proven ability and desire to sell
  • Confidence, enthusiasm, and a significant desire to be in sales

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Outlook, Excel, and CRM systems is a plus

 

Objectives of this Role

  1. Build and develop long term relationships with Alternative Investors
  2. Identify and prospect new investors that you find via your own efforts (referrals, conferences, periodicals google searches, etc)   
  3. Meet with as many investors as you can in an effort to solidify those relationships
  4. Create roadshows for managers/products with your investors that have interest in those particular products
  5. Constantly network with investors, industry contacts, etc in an effort to continue to identify and develop relationships with investors

 

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Update all calls, meetings, feedback on products, etc in CRM system
  • Attend internal product meetings either in person or Via Zoom
  • Understand all new and existing products via sales material and by reaching out to research as well as speaking to other salespeople
  • Provide a target list of investors for each of the available products
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly sales reports
