[What the role is:]

We are looking for a passionate individual to be part of the Blood Services Group (BSG), Blood Resources Division. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficiency of support processes within our blood collection centres and functions required by the collection sites are met. You will work together with a team of both operations and administration colleagues in the organisation.

You will be appointed to support the Division on one or more areas namely Division level procurement (non-nursing items), Division Goods Receiving Officer or Approving Officer responsibilities and support in transformation projects when required. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the Division’s Project Managers on various Digital & Process transformation initiatives.

[What you will be working on]

Responsibilities:  

  • Reports to the Centre Managers and Assistant Director, Strategic Planning & Coordination, Blood Resources
  • Operational Admin Lead, supporting in one or more areas namely Division level procurement, Division Goods Receiving Officer (GRO) or Approving Officer (AO), IT systems, registration, and projects, statistics, and data analytics.
  • Facilities Management and Workplace Safety for Collection Centres
  • Centre-level Reporting, Donors’ Engagement and Retention
  • Asset Management, Budget Planning & Centre-level Procurement
  • Ensure workplace efficiency, quality and safety standards (non-nursing) are met
  • Operations Resource Planning Support for Centres
  • Centre level procurement, staff roster planning, budget planning, asset management, workplace safety management, Centre security and Data management
  • Periodic preparation of statistics & performance reports.

[What we are looking for]

Requirements:

  • Background in Business Administration & Management, with minimum 2 years relevant working experience in similar scope.
  • Familiarity in Procurement, Administrative duties and Data Analytics work highly preferred
  • Previous experience with working closely in operations team/s in Healthcare, Community Services or Hospitality would be advantageous.
  • Skills and ability to meet deadlines; take initiative and make decisions in a team setting are vital
  • Good computer literacy with MS Office proficiency is a requirement
  • Must be good with numbers
  • Acceptable to be rostered to support morning, afternoon and weekend shifts, across a 5-day work week
  • Team members are not required to perform night shift.

Our blood banks operate 6 days a week*, between 9am – 8pm*
(Operating days/hours vary based on location).
