Job Description

The BDM for Municipality and Waterworks is responsible for increasing Zurn Wilkins product specification and brand demand from municipalities across the nation.

This position will also be responsible for leading, coaching, and developing an inside sales team member to help with WW and Municipality funnel management, bid creation and follow up, interaction with rep agencies, as well as creating sales and operational continuous improvement processes.

This position is remote and requires approx 75% travel.

Key Accountabilities
  • Identify, develop, and secure Municipality relationships to expand the Zurn Wilkins product specification and brand preference.
  • Deliver consistent revenue growth and increase market share for targeted waterworks distributors in alignment with annual goals and objectives.
  • Serve as the key contact for Tier 1 Waterworks Distribution in their market.
  • Recommend new solutions by leveraging the Zurn installed base to support future customer needs.
  • Partner with all Zurn commercial associates to service the demand that Municipality Specs will drive across all Market Segments.
  • Identify and communicate continuous improvement opportunities that result in increased ease of doing business, improved customer satisfaction and reduced operational costs. Accurately provide monthly forecast data to the Commercial Sales organization.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or work history equilivent.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in municipality sales (water focused).
  • Waterworks, Fire, and/or Plumbing Distribution experience a plus.
  • Ability to plan departmental growth aligned to organizational vision and strategy.
  • Capable of utilizing spreadsheets and DCRM as part of everyday work.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with limited direction.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, in addition to proven problem solving and analytical thinking skills required.
  • Must have a strong detail orientation balanced with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
